The Nashville chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization has been ranked the fastest-growing EO chapter in the world.

According to EO Global, EO Nashville has attracted 21 new members to date in 2013. This ranks first among all 122 EO chapters, including those in high-growth areas such as Toronto, Edmonton, Los Angeles, the Netherlands and Dallas.

The Nashville EO chapter, which now has 131 members, boasted a growth rate of 185 percent during the three years spanning 2010-2012. The chapter added 19 new members in 2010, 29 in 2011 and 23 new members in 2012, according to a news release. The chapter’s membership almost doubled during that timeframe, growing 185 percent since 2010.

To join, an entrepreneur must be a founder, co-founder, owner and/or controlling shareholder of a company with gross annual sales exceeding $1 million.

“Nashville’s vibrant and growing entrepreneurial community, and our accomplishments as a chapter give us all energy and proof that our work is worthwhile,” Andy Bailey, EO Nashville president and entrepreneur coach at Petra, said in a release “There were a lot of folks who helped in this effort, [including] John Kepley and Jackson Miller as the membership chairs.”

EO’s global business network of more than 8,700 business owners are located in 35 countries.

The Nashville chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization yesterday announced its new board appointments. Board president Andy Bailey said the group's growth to more than 100 members and plans for more led it to add new board positions this year "to help with special events, mentorship and retention, among other things."
