The Nashville office of Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz has added Christopher Douse as an associate in the firm's securities and corporate governance group.
Douse (pictured) will focus his practice on venture capital funds, investors in private equity transactions, start-up companies and private and public companies in the mature stages of their growth cycle.
Douse has experience in public and private company representation, including public offerings, private placements, reporting obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank, and general corporate matters, as well as mergers and acquisitions for both publicly-traded and privately-held entities.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Douse was an attorney in the business group at Phelps Dunbar in New Orleans for three years.
A 2011 magna cum laude graduate of Tulane University Law School, Douse was a recipient of the Pro Bono Publico award by AIDSLaw of Louisiana, Inc. He previously served as a judicial intern for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in Nashville.
