Local financial planner Matthew Rettick has launched Checks and Balances TV, a Website and weekly online consumer-finance show that's being backed by American Equity Investment Life Insurance out of Iowa. Rettick, who runs Cornerstone Retirement Group out of Century City, says he's out to educate the public about what financial-market headlines mean to them and how they can better handle the important money matters in their lives.
