Bridgestone merges two commercial units
Nashville-based Bridgestone Americas has consolidated two of its subsidiaries catering to the commercial tire market and laid off more than 20 people.
The combination of Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions and Bridgestone's Off Road Tire/U.S. and Canada Tire Sales into Bridgestone Commercial Solutions is designed to create one team that will "better leverage our talent, create a more cohesive team and offer a higher level of service." A total of 30 positions are being eliminated but eight of those had been open.
