Burr & Forman announced today that attorney Ben Katz has relocated to the firm’s Nashville office from its Fort Lauderdale, Florida, office.
Katz (pictured), an associate in the firm’s financial services litigation practice, is the second Burr & Forman attorney to relocate to Nashville in May. Earlier this month, the firm announced Zachary Miller has relocated from Birmingham (read more here).
Katz focuses his practice on the defense of claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. He also has experience working in commercial litigation, labor and employment, and bankruptcy.
Katz received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Georgia and his law degree from Emory University School of Law.
“Katz was a summer associate with us in Nashville and we’re delighted to have him return in response to our financial-services clients’ demand for additional representation here and in Tennessee,” Tom Potter, managing partner of Burr & Forman’s Nashville office, said in a release. “With nearly 30 attorneys licensed to practice in Tennessee, the firm is committed to growing the Nashville office strategically, with creative and collaborative attorneys who bring forward-thinking approaches to our clients’ legal issues.”
Law firm Burr & Forman says a member of its financial services litigation group has relocated to Nashville from Birmingham to work with area clients. Zachary Miller has been with the firm since September 2008 and has been listed as a rising star by Alabama Super Lawyers each year since 2011. His move to Music City brings up to eight Burr's local team, which has seen several other attorneys come and go so far this year.
Burr & Forman LLP has announced the addition of 14 associates who join the firm across six Southeastern offices.
Included in the additions is Emily Dennis, a Vanderbilt University School of Law graduate who joins Burr’s General Commercial Litigation practice group in Nashville.
The other additions are to the firm’s Atlanta, Birmingham, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Mobile, Ala., and Orlando offices.
