The local convent business is going strong

The MetroCenter-based Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia is welcoming its biggest-ever group of postulants this fall. Executive Director Sister Catherine Marie says staying true to tradition is helping land the group on the radar of interested women.

"It's not so much a fashion statement (sisters' habits) as much as a desire for a radical simplicity or saying 'I am about the work of God. I want to witness to that,'" Marie said.
