Ryan Search & Consulting has added to its board of advisors life sciences specialist George Dunbar. A Franklin entrepreneur and management consultant, Dunbar runs The Dunbar Group and is a venture partner at Arboretum Ventures. Ryan Search & Consulting Principal Dan Ryan said Dunbar will help his team find and place leaders for the firm’s life sciences clients. Dunbar has in the past been involved with local testing venture Diagnovus as well as fluorescent labeling company Quantum Dot and others.
John Kepley, principal and CEO of technology-oriented search firm Teknetex, can now add sole owner to his titles. He tells Walker Duncan he recently bought out co-founder Eric O'Reilly after exploring ways to broaden what five-year-old Teknetex can do for its clients.
Local executive recruiter Dan Ryan has formed an advisory to help him guide Ryan Search & Consulting and provide advice to the firm's clients. The four-member board features:
• Rob Barrick, president and CEO of Nashville building system engineering and commissioning firm Smith Seckman Reid
• Dan Gaudette, the former head of Nissan North America's manufacturing operations and a former interim president and CEO of the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville
• Executive coach and career strategist Jim Fuller, owner of Jim Fuller Consulting and former political director for ex-Gov. Lamar Alexander’s re-election campaign
• Consultant Margaret Reynolds, who runs Breakthrough Masters Unlimited with offices in Kansas City and Nashville.

Bill Kirby, president and owner of OI Partners-Russell Montgomery & Associates, has been elected to board of directors of OI Partners, the global umbrella organization for the executive search firm.
Kirby has more than 45 years business experience. He oversees Russell Montgomery's offices in Brentwood, Memphis, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Johnson City, and Jackson. OI Partners was established in 1987 and now has 200 offices in 27 countries, with about half of them in the United States.
