Bristol, PGM plan $30M Huntsville project

Nashville firms Bristol Development and PGM Properties have teamed up on a plan to redevelop a former public-housing site in downtown Huntsville into a mixed-use center featuring 200 apartments and more than 65,000 square feet of retail space. The two companies say they will pump more than $30 million into the 5.6-acre project, which will rise near Huntsville Hospital.

Yeager estimates the new stores and restaurants will have annual sales of $50 million, providing the city with a windfall of new sales tax revenue.

"I think this is going to be a game-changer" for downtown, he said.
