CapStar Bank is continuing to add to its private-banking team — and has done so again at the expense of Fifth Third. (Tara Alford last month moved over to lead CapStar's retail and private banking group.)
Steve Gebhardt has been lured away to work from CapStar's downtown office, while Kelly Hayes will be based in Green Hills.
Gebhardt had been a team leader for medical and professional banking at Fifth Third, where he had worked since 2000. Hayes had worked at Regions Financial's Morgan Keegan unit before joining Fifth Third and is licensed to handle a number of types of insurance products.
Separately, credit analyst Michael Young has been promoted to portfolio manager in the retail and private banking team.
Nine-year-old Nashville Bank & Trust will this week rebrand itself to Truxton Trust as it looks to build out a client base that already reaches 14 states. The push is slated to include hiring financial advisors in other cities. Nashville Bank & Trust posted a first-quarter profit of $716,000 as its assets grew slightly to $302 million.
