Pillsbury to hire handful of attorneys for operations center

Law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman is looking to hire a number of attorneys for its downtown operations center, which already employs 160 people in accounting and finance, IT, human resources, risk management, document production and marketing roles. Pillsbury Chairman Jim Rishwain told The Washington Post this weekend that adding lawyers to his Music City team was always part of the plan of cutting costs where possible.

“For litigation, the jurisdiction could be New York or San Francisco or London, but there are certain fundamental things that have to be done, it doesn’t matter where in the world those services are,” he said.

The firm's careers page shows 11 current openings in Nashville, four of which are for attorneys specializing in litigation, transactions, e-discovery as well as a an attorney management position.
