Essent names Texas COO
Nashville-based hospital operator Essent Healthcare has named Thomas Dunning chief operating officer for Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas. Dunning currently serves as Essent's VP of product line development. He will replace former COO Bill Porter who was named CEO of Paris Regional earlier this month. Essent names Texas CEO
Essent Healthcare has named Bill Porter the CEO of Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas. Porter, who became the hospital's COO in January, served as the faclity's interim CEO since August, when Chris Dux resigned from the role.“We believe Bill Porter is a good fit for the hospital and for the community,” says Steve Wylie, executive vice president and chief operations officer for Essent Healthcare. “Since his arrival, Bill has made an immediate impact at PRMC. His experience, knowledge and enthusiasm are just what we need to move forward.”Essent also recently named a new CEO for Sharon Hospital in Connecticut.

Essent consolidates Texas hospital campus
Essent Healthcare will consolidate the acute-care services of Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas into a single campus by next fall. The move is designed to improve access for patients, strengthen the quality of care and provide for better coordinated services.
