Corrections Corp. of America has partnered with Arizona officials to recruit 'mature' workers for two of its prison management contracts.
Many corrections workers get hired in their 20s and 30s and it can be their first job, Grant said. So it can be beneficial to have older workers who can take on the role of a mentor and guide young workers through difficult situations. "They generally are more calm because they've faced challenges before," Grant said.
