Music sponsorship and fulfillment agency MAC Presents has been given Billboard's 2009 Concert Marketing & Promotion Award for its work in bringing together Keith Urban and KC Masterpiece/Kingsford.
“It’s an honor to be recognized within the music industry,” states Marcie Allen, President of MAC Presents. “Winning the Concert Marketing & Promotion Award is a testament to the authenticity of this partnership and the value that it brings to the artist, the brands, and the consumer.”The other six finalists for this year's award were for tour deals involving Rascal Flatts, Blink-182, Britney Spears and Nickelback as well as two festivals, the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival and the Virgin Mobile Freefest.

The newly formed Warner Music Nashville group of labels has hooked up with BAM Racing to run the 2010 Sprint Cup schedule. Warner Nashville boss John Esposito said the deal with BAM — which took off a year to catch its breath — is a "unique opportunity to extend our artists' brands." The two sports organizations are focused on cross-selling their sponsors. How long before we see Kleenex on the ice or VUMC on the No. 27?

Brown-Forman, the parent company of Jack Daniel's, will stop sponsoring the Richard Childress Racing No. 7 at the end of this season, saying the economy has pushed it to conclude that "other areas in the marketing mix require additional investment."

Gaylord Entertainment's Texan property has been named the official hotel of the Dallas Cowboys.
The Gaylord will be the host hotel for the Cowboys players, coaches and staff, who will stay at the resort on the night before home games, along with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders — and fans visiting from out of town. The resort will be promoted on the Cowboys fan Web site, Neibling said.
