MAC Presents gets presented with an award
Music sponsorship and fulfillment agency MAC Presents has been given Billboard's 2009 Concert Marketing & Promotion Award for its work in bringing together Keith Urban and KC Masterpiece/Kingsford.“It’s an honor to be recognized within the music industry,” states Marcie Allen, President of MAC Presents. “Winning the Concert Marketing & Promotion Award is a testament to the authenticity of this partnership and the value that it brings to the artist, the brands, and the consumer.”The other six finalists for this year's award were for tour deals involving Rascal Flatts, Blink-182, Britney Spears and Nickelback as well as two festivals, the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival and the Virgin Mobile Freefest.

CMA picks first ad agency
The Country Music Association has contracted with global advertising agency MS&L to boost its marketing and communications presence. To do so, former Playboy Enterprises regional manager Sheri Warnke will set up shop at the CMA's Music Row digs.The agency's first projects include the CMA Awards in November and the CMA Music Festival in 2010, and Warnke is currently planning a marketing summit to be held in conjunction with the awards.
