Southwest Airlines has notified Nashville International Airport (BNA) of flight adjustments to their seasonal schedule in early 2010. Southwest will add an additional flight from Nashville to Orlando and one to Phoenix from Jan. 10, 2010, to March 12, 2010. Southwest Airlines announced the following seasonal changes to flights from Nashville, effective Jan. 10, 2010, and March 12, 2010: · Nashville to Orlando – From 4 flights to 5 flights · Nashville to Phoenix – From 2 flights to 3 flightsSEE ALSO: Southwest's broader schedule shuffle

From the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority:
China Airlines has notified Nashville International Airport (BNA) that it will suspend cargo operations at the airport effective July 31. This suspension, which may be reversed as the economy rebounds, is a result of decreased levels of outbound cargo due to the challenging economic environment. China Airlines has operated at BNA since 2001.

Nashville's Vought Aircraft Industries was expecting to do a major business deal with manufacturer Cessna -- only the latter has pulled the plug. The plant will lose out on the $1 billion contract it had counted on from the construction of the new Columbus aircraft. Via the Dallas Morning News.
