Midtown Place slated for on-schedule completion
Core Development’s Midtown Place is on schedule for a July 2012 completion, with the company now having a detailed rendering of the five-story rental residential building.
Core created Midtown Place LLC for the development, to be located at 1016 18th Ave. S. near Vanderbilt University. Those who closely follow Nashville’s built environment will recall the site was previously home to a stacked-stone apartment building with a small courtyard.
Midtown Place will offer 60 units ranging in rent from about $1,110 for a one-bedroom to $1,500 for a two-bedroom.
The site is tight, thus necessitating the building be almost as vertical as it is horizontal.
“It’s notable because Vanderbilt is a large employer,” Core President Aaron White said of the location. “This creates housing that is walkable to the campus and medical center.”
Another noteworthy element: Core is co-developing Midtown Place with Scarritt-Bennett Center. Core is using its preferred team of DA|AD (architecture) Southland (general contracting) and Pinnacle (financing) for the development.
