Deb Paquette, chef at downtown's Etch restaurant, and partners Doug Hogrefe and Paul Schramkowski will next weekend host a dining event that will both benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and serve as the unveiling of the 1,200-square-foot expansion of the eatery in the Encore condo tower.The $100-per-person event is part of Paquette's partnership with the Taste of the NFL and that league's Kick Hunger Challenge. The expansion, a response to strong first-year sales, will add private dining space and grow the restaurant's bakery and storage capacity. Check out more info here.
The chef [Debra Paquette] came to Nashville from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and her husband [Ernie] grew up on the shores of Cape Cod. She said they've both been longing to get back to the ocean, and with their two sons grown, the time was right to take a plunge. "You don't know what's on the other side until you go for it," she said. "I want to look out my back door and see the big blue."
