MDHA's work to rehab the former NABRICO Building is progressing nicely: The agency has tapped contractor Baron + Dowdle to lead the project, which will include a locally owned restaurant overlooking the Cumberland River and featuring space for music acts to perform. The structure has since been renamed the Bridge Building.
Mayor Karl Dean and MDHA officials yesterday broke ground on the Ryman Lofts, a 60-unit, $5.3 million apartment complex designed for and reserved for up-and-coming area artists. Construction is expected to wrap up next fall. Click here for a fact sheet of the project and here for MDHA's bigger-picture look at Rolling Mill Hill.
