Analyst: $7.50 will be enough for Tenet

Wells Fargo analyst Gary Lieberman says it's not likely another serious bidder for Tenet Healthcare will emerge to challenge Community Health Systems' offer for the Texas company. That means Franklin-based CHS "will not need to pay a significant premium" to its original $6 offer. CHS shares (Ticker: CYH) are up 17 percent since it went public with news of the bid.

Wells Fargo downgrades PSYS

Wells Fargo analyst Gary Lieberman yesterday downgraded Psychiatric Solutions' shares (Ticker: PSYS) to 'market perform' from 'market outperform,' saying the company's potential acquisition is already built into the stock's price.
"...Over the past year shares of Psychiatric Solutions have ranged in price from about $13 to $30 per share. With shares currently trading at the high end of that range and our belief that if a deal gets done it is likely to be in the low to mid 30’s, we believe it is prudent to downgrade our rating at this time."
