The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce has named its 2010 crop of Emerging Leaders, folks who are younger than 40 and making their mark on the business and nonprofit worlds. Among the group are a senior exec at Reliant Bank, a partner at Sherrard & Roe and an assistant commissioner in the state's ECD department.

Four in a row for Reliant

Brentwood-based Reliant Bank posted a fourth-quarter profit of about $300,000, its fourth straight quarter in the black. For the year, the bank — which last summer bought a Maryland Farms branch from Magna Bank — earned $2.3 million.

Reliant on a roll

The Brentwood-based bank has completed its acquisition of Magna Bank's Maryland Farms office. Next up are offices in Franklin (slated for October) and Green Hills (January) that will have the three-year-old bank hiring another eight people, pushing its payroll over 60.
