Engineering firm TTL has hired a new branch manager for its Nashville operation.
Michael Cochrane has joined Alabama-headquartered TTL from Gresham Smith & Partners, which he joined in the late 1990s and where he had been a senior vice president active in that firm's aviation, federal and land planning divisions. He has more than 35 years of industry experience and has focused part of his work on facilities for several branches of the military.
A holder of engineering degrees from both Lipscomb and Vanderbilt universities, Cochrane serves on the advisory board for Lipscomb's Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering. He also has been involved with a number of professional organizations.
TTL is based in Tuscaloosa and runs eight other offices in Alabama and Georgia. Its Nashville outpost has of late  worked on projects in Sylvan Heights and The Gulch as well as on the Music City Center and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
