Stites & Harbison today announced the expansion of its intellectual property and technology practice with the addition of registered patent partners Kelly Hollowell and Justin McNaughton.
Hollowell and McNaughton previously worked at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis. Both focus their practices on life sciences and mechanical arts.
With the additions, Stites & Harbison will offer a life sciences practice with 10 full-time attorneys. Additionally, the firm’s IP practice grows to 28 full-time attorneys and 17 registered patent attorneys across all offices. In 2013, the firm issued 359 U.S. patents and registered 254 U.S. trademarks.
“As we continue to execute our strategic vision to grow our Nashville office and our presence in the state of Tennessee at-large, our firm has become very attractive to attorneys seeking an established platform that places a high value on intellectual property as a primary service area,” Ken Sagan, Stites & Harbison chairman, said in a release. “We believe our intellectual property practice provides attorneys with the necessary tools to meet the evolving needs of their clients, and we are excited to welcome Kelly and Justin to the firm.”
