Columbia-based First Farmers & Merchants Bank has tapped a veteran team of lenders and other managers to lead its first foray into Davidson County.
Veteran bank employees Dick Sevier, Berry Brooks and Rory Mallard will relocate this fall to Hillsboro Circle in Green Hills from First Farmers’ Cool Springs outpost. In addition, the company has hired a Capital Bank manager to run the office, which will be First Farmers’ 19th in all.
Sevier (pictured), who has more than four decades of experience, will be senior commercial relationship manager, the same role he has held in Cool Springs since 2009. Brooks, also a senior commercial relationship manager, has been in banking in Middle Tennessee since 1971, having worked for Commerce Union, Bank of America, First American and AmSouth. Mallard, meanwhile, is a former manager of Fifth Third Bank’s Music Row office who moved to First Farmers in 2011. He will be a commercial relationship manager in Green Hills.
