Local management consultant Art Rebrovick has been hired to administer a financially troubled private college in Bristol, Va., and could preside over its closing.
The board of trustees of Virginia Intermont College on Monday accepted the resignation of President Clorisa Phillips and appointed Rebrovick, who is CEO of Compass Executives, to be interim president and restructuring agent. The board said Virginia Intermont's future is unknown at this point and students have been getting help to put them in a position to continue their studies elsewhere.
