Home goods retailer Kirkland's will move its headquarters to Maryland Farms from the Opry Mills area this summer. The relocation affects about 140 people.
Kirkland's officials last month  said they would move from their corporate home in Two Rivers Corporate Centre since 2007 when their lease expires in August. Last Thursday, they signed up to lease all 76,615 square feet of 5310 Maryland Way, which sits three blocks east of Granny White Pike, for 10 years. That's about twice as much space as the company now occupies in at Two Rivers.
"Since moving our corporate headquarters to Nashville in August 2007, we have experienced significant growth and an increase in the complexity of our operations," said Kirkland's President and CEO Robert Alderson. "By doubling our space to 76,000 square feet, we can provide additional space for our expanding operations, greater collaboration among all departments and flexibility for our future growth. We look forward to having the move completed by early October."
