Two of the most recognizable names in Williamson County banking have retired after nearly four decades of working together at four institutions.
Executive Vice Presidents Jody Bowman and Jere Pewitt both said goodbye last month to their colleagues at Franklin Synergy Bank. Bowman (left in our photo) was the chief lending officer at six-year-old Franklin Synergy, which has grown to about $800 million in assets and is in the process of acquiring MidSouth Bank of Murfreesboro. Pewitt was one of a small group of senior lending officers.
Bowman, 66, and Pewitt, 58, both had joined Franklin Synergy in the fall of 2008, bringing with them a combined 70 years of banking experience. They have long been two of the county's go-to bankers when it comes to real estate and construction loans and worked alongside each other at Williamson County Bank until 1991, Franklin National Bank until 2004 and Cumberland Bank until 2008.
