Orvis — the national retailer specializing in high-end fly fishing and hunting goods — will open a store in Green Hills in April, according to a company official.
To be housed in the building last home to the recently closed Nero’s Grill at 2122 Hillsboro Drive, the store will be the Vermont-based operation’s first company store in Nashville and its second company store in Tennessee, joining a location in Sevierville. Three other state retailers, including Game Fair Ltd. on Old Harding Pike in West Meade, stock Orvis goods.
Daryl Kenny, Orvis coordinator of public relations and corporate marketing, said the Vermont-based retailer is targeting an April opening but did not confirm a site. A source within Nashville’s commercial real estate industry said the former Nero’s space in Green Hills is being prepared.
Founded in 1856, Orvis has 58 retail stores and 10 outlet stores in the United States and 19 retail stores and
