California-based ReviveHealth is establishing its headquarters in Nashville, company President and Founder Brandon Edwards told Nashville Post Thursday.
ReviveHealth operates offices in in Cummins Station and Santa Barbara, Calif. Its home office move comes after the health care-focused PR company, founded in September 2009, recently announced a name change [2] (from Revive).
Edwards will soon move to Nashville and hopes to grow the office relatively quickly.
“If we execute our business plan, we will have doubled our number of employees in Nashville within 18 to 24 months,” Edwards said.
Edwards said he opened a Nashville outpost because of the "deep talent pool" of health care communications experts, particularly within the health services sector.
"More than 500 health care companies are either headquartered or have offices in Nashville," he said. "That has bred an extremely robust health care ecosystem that you just can't find in very many other areas of the country."
ReviveHealth will maintain its Santa Barbara office, which is home to 12 employees. The Nashville office will have six employees once Edwards makes the move. Veteran public relations professional Kriste Goad has served as senior company official in the local office.
Trade publication O’Dwyer’s recently ranked Revive as the nation’s 11th-largest health care public relations agency, based on 2011 revenue. The company booked $4.6 million in revenue in 2011, a 23 percent increase from 2010, according to O’Dwyer’s. No other Tennessee firms ranked higher.
