Demonbreun Street staple Tin Roof is expanding, moving into the space that was once home to the sales and marketing office for Rhythm condo tower and that now, in part, accommodates Mirko Pasta.
In addition, an Atlanta-based team is planning to open a restaurant and bar called South, to be located in the space that most recently was occupied by The Closing Bell. The eatery will offer Southern-inspired dishes.
Terms of the two deals are not being disclosed, said Peggy Sells, senior vice president and principal for the Nashville office of Cassidy Turley, which manages the retail strip. Houston-based The Lionstone Group owns the strip center, which is located in the 1500 block of Demonbreun.
The build-out for both projects should be completed within about four months, according to Sells.
“It’s a testament to the Midtown submarket,” Sells said. “There is a new vibrancy in the area and business owners are wanting to capitalize.”
