Belle Meade-based New Wind, LLC, and Apperisity, Inc, of Cody, Wyo., have teamed to create a wind/solar hybrid portable power and light solution that uses no fuel and operates without being connected to a power grid.
The system is called Apperisity One, or the Emergency Light and Power on Demand (ELPoD). New Wind supplies the components while Apperisity engineered the system, which is targeted toward emergency response, fairs, festivals, road work, and any temporary events that needs on-demand light and power.
In a release, the companies said ELPoD can be towed by most any vehicle, requires practically no maintenance and will create jobs in Cody.
