An Atlanta accounting firm is making its first move beyond that market by buying downtown-based Work & Greer, the home of more than a dozen professionals.
Frazier & Deeter signed an agreement to take on Work & Greer and expects to close the deal this summer. Firm co-founder David Deeter said the Nashville area reminds him "of the explosive growth conditions we saw in Atlanta in the early 1980s," when Frazier & Deeter opened its doors. The combined firm will keep the Frazier & Deeter name and be led locally by Jason Meadows, who has been at Frazier & Deeter since late 2000.
Work & Greer was founded in 1982 and has grown to specialize in working with public utilities and construction entities.
“We are excited about joining Frazier & Deeter, a firm we have known for many years and have long admired as a leader in our profession,” said Ronny Greer, managing partner of Work & Greer. “Nashville has a vibrant business community and I believe that our merger with Frazier & Deeter will be very well received by our clients as well as the general professional and business community.”
