Wiseman Ashworth Law Group adds of counsel

Minton P. Mayer has joined Wiseman Ashworth Law Group, PLC, as of counsel. 

Mayer, previously affiliated with Adelman Law Firm, PLLC, in Memphis, will work with attorneys in Wiseman Ashworth’s Nashville and Memphis offices on civil litigation matters in the areas of medical malpractice, long-term health care, personal injury defense and professional negligence defense.

“Minton is a welcome addition to our firm and we are particularly proud to add an attorney in our Memphis office who has well-rounded experience in health care litigation and related medical and long-term health care practice issues,” Gail Vaughn Ashworth, one of the firm’s founding members, said in release. “He has more than 15 years of experience in litigation and is also a respected speaker and mediator.”  

Mayer was associated with Adelman Law Firm for more than five years. During this time, his practice was concentrated on civil litigation related to malpractice, long-term health care, personal injury and professional negligence defense cases. His experience also includes a nine-year association  as attorney and partner at Memphis law firm Spicer, Flynn & Rudstrom, where he practiced civil litigation in the areas of professional negligence, products liability, wrongful death, personal injury, workers compensation and general business.  From 1996 to 1998, Mayer was an associate at Memphis firm Wolff Ardis, PC, practicing civil litigation in the areas of business, products liability, fidelity bond and insurance. 

Mayer is a graduate of the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis (1996) and holds a B.A. degree in rhetoric and communications cum laude from Kent State University (1991).

Thomas A. Wiseman III and the aforementioned Ashworth founded Wiseman Ashworth Law Group in Nashville in 2010.
