Rehabbing the guts of the State Capitol
The venerable Tennessee State Capitol will receive a $9.3 million interior rehabbing. To be led by Hardaway Construction, the effort will include HVAC, plumbing and electrical wiring work.

An unoccupied portion of SoBro’s XO Communications Building, located at 101 Molloy Street, is getting an elevator to connect the building’s street level to its first and second floors. Wieck Construction LLC has been awarded the $275,000 contract for the project.

Harpeth Valley Utility District is prepping for a new three-story administrative building at 5838 River Road. R.C. Mathews Contractor LLC has the $3.7 million contract.
Neely Auditorium ready for facelift

Dickerson Pike is set for a new Family Dollar. Shaub Construction Co. Inc. has the $723,360 contract to construct a building, to be located at 3847 Dickerson Pike, to house the Family Dollar.
A big day for Metro Codes Department
This week, the Metro Department of Codes and Building Safety registered one of its more noteworthy days, in terms of dollar amount of permits issued, of late. On Tuesday, the department recorded about $15 million in permits. By comparison, Monday saw about $2 million; Wednesday, roughly $3.7 million; and Thursday, approximately $2.3 million.
