The Tennessee Board of Regents is considering the largest tuition hike in six years. WPLN reports [2]that the TBR Finance Committee met yesterday to consider a nearly 9 percent tuition increase at Austin Peay and Tennessee State and a bump of nearly 10 percent at Middle Tennessee State University and Tennessee Tech.
The discussion comes as stimulus funds for the 45-school TBR system run out. For students, the increase would amount to about $200 in additional tuition each semester.
