The former president of Nashville architecture and engineering firm Gresham Smith and Partners is launching a new management consulting firm.
Everett Cowan, in partnership with Compass Executives, has created AE Guidance LLC, a new venture designed to provide advice and strategic direction to architecture and engineering firms looking to grow and improve their market position.
Cowan retired from GS&P in December after more than 21 years with the firm, eight of which were spent as its president and chief operating officer. During his time there Cowan helped grow the company from 150 professionals to more than 800.
At AE Guidance, Cowan will advise on issues ranging from management and operations to ownership transition planning. By linking with Compass Executives, he’ll offer clients access to industry senior executives with experience in finance, human resources, IT, marketing and management strategies.
“AE Guidance will help developing A&E firms capitalize on opportunities to grow,” Cowan said.
