Pinnacle close to announcing restaurant tenant
The identity of the much-anticipated restaurant slated for the bottom floor of Nashville's newest skyscraper should be known soon.
Richard Fleming, who handles leasing for the Pinnacle at Symphony Place for Cushman & Wakefield Cornerstone, said the deal to bring a restaurant to the 29-story building's bottom floor is imminent, "Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise."
Fleming declined to identify the restaurant but said it will excite the city.
"It will be a very well-received restaurant," he said. "It will be a Nashville icon."
A high-profile restaurant would mark the latest feather in the cap for the Pinnacle, which Fleming says is having some success. With the addition of the law offices of Sherrard & Roe – buildout work is set to begin soon – and the building's namesake bank taking on space on the 10th floor, the SoBro skyscraper is leased at 62 percent.
Listed price for space in the building is $23 per square foot, plus operating costs – well below what its owners were asking a few years ago – but Fleming says "we will be aggressive and competitive" in the coming year and says "our prospect list has genuinely doubled" in recent months.
