Design Center sets no timetable to hire ED

Organization's board will seek to replace Landstreet

The Nashville Civic Design Center Board of Directors has yet to set a timetable to recruit or name an executive director following the recent resignation of Julia Landstreet, according to Ryan Doyle, NCDC board president.

“We have a very engaged board of directors and two tremendous resources (Design Director Gary Gaston and Assistant Design Director Ron Yearwood) working full time right now,” Doyle said.

Landstreet (pictured), who resigned on July 11 after having served the center as ED for about four years, could not be reached for comment.

Doyle said the NCDC enjoyed “a lot of great successes” during Landstreet’s tenure and that the board thanked her for her contributions.

Doyle said the center is focused on continuing the growth of its various partnerships (particularly with colleges/universities and community leaders) in an effort to “raise Nashville’s awareness about how our city can continue rapid growth in a way that shapes neighborhoods and districts that we all be proud to call home.”
