Acadia president named to LHC Group board

Louisiana-based company employs 10,000 in 26 states

Brent Turner, president of Acadia Healthcare, has been elected to the board of directors of LHC Group, a provider of home health, hospice and other post-acute care services.

Turner serves on the audit and corporate development committees of LHC's board, which comprises 10 members. Through the first six months of this year, the company posted a profit of $10.1 million on sales of $353 million. The company (Ticker: LHCG) has a market cap of about $450 million.

Turner joined Acadia along with other former Psychiatric Solutions executives in February 2011 and has since helped grow the Cool Springs-based company to 75 facilities with more than 5,500 licensed beds in 24 states, the United Kingdom and Puerto Rico.
