Urology Associates, the region's largest urological practice, has absorbed the Center for Urological Treatment, a four-doctor Nashville practice.
"Urology Associates believes CUT is the perfect partner, because both practices share a similar goal of improving our patients' urology care experience," Dr. Charles Eckstein, Urology Associates president, said in a release. "The practice is well-known for delivering outstanding urology care to patients in Middle Tennessee."
Through the partnership, terms of which were not disclosed, doctors Tara Allen, Howard Aubert, L. Dean Knoll and Mitchell Wiatrak have joined Urology Associates practice.
Urology Associates has more than 30 urologists working out of 13 Nashville-area offices and 12 satellite clinics. The new urologists will be based out of the practice's Charlotte Avenue office.
"It's another example of physicians coming together to do a better job," said Micail Samiere, Urology Associates CEO. "Advantages include lower overhead, better reporting and outcomes management and — most important of all — better results for patients."
