Chicago-based investor group acquires DoubleTree for $69.25M

Buyer bought Velocity in 2012

Downtown’s DoubleTree by Hilton hotel has exchanged ownership hands in a $69.25 million transaction.

Chicago-based real estate investment firm Walton Street Capital is the buyer, according to Davidson County Register of Deeds documents.

AEW/Wright Nashville Owner LLC was the seller. AEW paid $50 million for the property in 2007.

The 337-room hotel was completed in 1979 and stands 124 feet. It is located at 315 Fourth Ave. N.

In 2012, Walton Street Capital purchased Velocity in the Gulch for $37.5 million (read more here).
