The president of Bridgestone Americas' agricultural tire subsidiary has retired after a dozen years with the company.
Ken Allen had led Bridgestone Agricultural Tire, U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales since 2009. He joined the division in 2002 before moving to Bridgestone's off-road products group. Allen returned to the ag operation in 2007 as executive director of sales and marketing and in recent years oversaw a $77 million expansion program at the division's 1,500-employee Iowa plant.
“Highly regarded in the industry, Ken led the realignment of our Agricultural business in recent years,” said Kurt Danielson, president of U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales. “His leadership and commitment has been instrumental in turning around our agricultural tire business, guiding the development of several key agricultural tire products and helping us to deliver industry-leading service to our customers. We are grateful for Ken’s many contributions over the last decade and he will be missed.”
Danielson will lead Bridgestone Agricultural Tire during the search for Allen's replacement.
