Warner Music Nashville has recruited a veteran Music Row publicity executive to lead the marketing efforts at its local label group, which comprises the Atlantic, Elektra, Warner Bros., LoudMouth and Word Entertainment labels.
Wes Vause comes to Warner from Sony Music Nashville, where he was vice president of media. He will start work at Warner in October with the title of senior VP of publicity and will report to John Esposito, president and CEO of Warner Music Nashville.
“Wes is a veteran publicist and artist champion who’s had a big hand in helping many top talents develop into superstars,” Esposito said. “Passionate and enterprising, I look forward to Wes helping us continue to break extraordinary artists and build long-term careers.”
Vause joined Sony in 2000 as director of media. During his time there, he worked with Kenny Chesney and, more recently, with Miranda Lambert. He was prominent last month when the singer's private plane was forced to make an emergency landing in West Virginia.
