Collins move part of company's major personnel changes

Pat Collins, the Nashville-based president and chief operating officer of SESAC Inc., has been promoted to president and CEO of SESAC Performance Rights, a SESAC subsidiary that will incorporate the company’s core performing rights activities.

Collins’ promotion comes as SESAC announced today it also has named New York-based John Josephson, a director of the company since 1992 and a managing director at Allen & Co. LLC, as chairman and CEO, succeeding Chairman Emeritus Stephen Swid.

Similarly, Kelli Turner, managing general partner at RSL Venture Partners, LP, has joined SESAC as executive vice president, corporate development and CFO, where she will oversee corporate development, finance and human resources. Mike Hidalgo will continue as deputy CFO of SESAC.

In a release, SESAC said a key factor in its personnel moves is the recent acquisition of a controlling interest in Rumblefish, a music technology provider involved in music micro-licensing, YouTube monetization and license verification. Rumblefish will operate as a subsidiary of SESAC, with founder Paul Anthony Troiano to continue to serve as president and CEO of Rumblefish.

Collins (pictured), Troiano and Turner will report to Josephson. Only Collins is based locally.
