Frothy Monkey to establish wholesale operations in SoBro

Coffee company will anchor INK building, team with Kaldi's

Officials with Nashville-based Frothy Monkey Coffee Roasting Co. announced today they will launch a comprehensive roasting plant and wholesale operations as an anchor tenant in the modernist INK building being reinvented Ewing Street in SoBro.

The new operations, a partnership with St. Louis-based Kaldi’s Coffee Roasting Co., will feature full-service wholesale coffee support for restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and gift shops serving the Nashville metropolitan area, according to a release.

Frothy Monkey’s wholesale roasting plan is based on a Kaldi’s-developed model that features relationship coffee sourcing, barista training, equipment service, cafe product distribution and customer awareness programs. The Frothy Monkey Roasting Co. will feature a training facility and cupping room.

FLO {thinkery] founder Mark Montgomery is leading a group that includes FLO equity advisors Joe Glaser and John Grady to retrofit the INK printing building located at 613 Ewing St. one block south of Lafayette Street.

Frothy Monkey has four Nashville-area locations, with the most recent having opened on Fifth Avenue North in the central business district.
