MDSave names executive VP

Former Stryker sales manager added to growing team

Brentwood-based MDSave announced it has named Calvin Magee as executive vice president and board member of the health care marketplace company.

Most recently, Magee was sales manager for Fortune 500 medical device maker Stryker Corp. Before that, he was a regional territory manager for Boston Scientific. Magee received a bachelor of business administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.

"Calvin is a highly effective leader with a proven track record of managing and driving sales on a late corporate scale," Paul Ketchel, MDSave co-founder and CEO, said in a release. "His deep experience with medical technology and large hospital systems in particular will be an enormous asset to MDSave as we rapidly expand our footprint."

MDSave has raised $7 million in financing over the last 13 months and plans to expand into 22 new markets this year.
