United Methodist Publishing pays $9.25M for MetroCenter property

Acquisition of ex-Bud Adams site comes as UMPH preps move to make way for development

The United Methodist Publishing House has acquired the Lake Front Office Park in MetroCenter for $9.25 million.

Lake Front Office Park LLC, which includes both the estate of deceased Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams and Nashville-based investment entity Corner Partnership, was the seller.

The 125,000-square-foot office building sits on a site that includes a manmade lake.

United Methodist Publishing House is leaving its downtown headquarters, located at the southwest corner of the Eighth Avenue South and Demonbreun Street intersection, as Florida-based Turnberry Associates has the property under contract. Turnberry plans a $300 million project that could include a hotel and condos.

Rob Lowe, Cassidy Turley senior managing director and principal, represented UMPH in the transaction, while CB Ragland’s Brandon Kuvara, managing broker, and Michael Hayes, president, represented Lake Front Office Park LLC.
