Vaco buys stake in health care search venture

Frankenberg firm spent years in Kraft family before spinning out in '11

Local staffing and search company Vaco has bought a 50 percent stake in Focus Search Partners, which specializes in placing health care executives.

Vaco's transaction was finalized in April and Focus is still using its name while adopting some Vaco branding. Paul Frankenberg, who founded his firm in 2001 and housed it under the KraftCPAs umbrella for almost a decade, said his team of eight will look to build its network across Vaco's 28 offices nationwide.

"It's great to have our entire team continuing in this new partnership," Frankenberg, pictured, said in a statement. "Existing clients should expect terrific continuity in our service."

Vaco was founded in 2002 by Jerry Bostelman and has since grown to almost 400 people with revenues of more than $200 million.
