Event company buys digital shop

Germantown firm bringing multimedia experience to Ovation

Event production company Ovation Inc. has acquired fellow Nashville company Rabbit Hole Creative, a multimedia design firm that also caters to large entertainment and corporate events.

The purchase, terms of which are not being disclosed, lets Ovation Chairman and CEO Clay Sifford and his team add 3D animation, motion graphics, editorial, creative development and sound design to their services.

“Adding Rabbit Hole Creative to our existing design team, coupled with our production services and presentation management technology, achieves our strategic vision to provide our clients the ability to receive a world-class offering under one roof,” Sifford said. “This targeted acquisition allows us to collaborate more closely with clients before the event, increasing both quality and efficiency, as well as independent of an event by extending into development of content aimed at building, supporting and enhancing our client’s organizations and their marketing endeavors.”

Rabbit Hole Creative is based on Adams Street in Germantown and has worked with Wal-Mart, the YMCA, Burger King and a number of musical acts. For its part, Ovation — which was launched in 1991 and also has an office in Boston — has worked with Nokia, IHS and other big names. The company also owns the North American licensing rights to content management software technology developed by M-Event, a Dutch company.
