Nashville-based HealthTeacher Inc. has brought on Peter Rossell to be its first chief financial officer. Rossell will oversee financial management strategies for the health education provider, which is expanding its education technology offerings, including GoNoodle, an online suite of physical activity breaks for students.
Most recently, Rossell served as CFO of NeighborMD, a retail urgent care startup he co-founded. The company was acquired last year by a joint venture between CareSpot Express and HCA's TriStar Health division. He also served at financial firms including Morgan Joseph and SunTrust Equitable Securities.
"Peter's experience as a CFO and entrepreneur will be integral in shaping our financial strategies to achieve the next stage of growth," Scott McQuigg, CEO of HealthTeacher, said in a release.
Rossell received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from Emory University.
"I'm delighted to join the executive leadership team at this exciting time in the company's development," Rossell said. "Education technology is one of the fastest-growing sectors and GoNoodle has quickly created a leadership position improving student health and student engagement."
