Raleigh-based Highwoods Properties announced today its Nashville office has signed a tenant to a lease for 28,000 square feet at Harpeth on the Green V in Maryland Farms Office Park in Brentwood.

Highwoods, the local office for which is located on West End Avenue, recently completed a build-to-suit building for LifePoint.

Gulch building to get $400K rehab for restaurant

The owners of a soon-to-open restaurant in the Gulch have secured a permit to rehab a commercial building from which they will operate chicken and cocktail restaurant Party Fowl.

Austin Smith is partnering with 360 Bistro owner Nick Jacobson on the venture.

Dowdle Construction Group has the permit, valued at $400,000.

The building (see rendering below) is located on the northwest corner of Eighth Avenue South and Division Street.

Mid-South Wires pays $3.7M for warehouse

Mid-South Wire has acquired for $3.7 million a warehouse that once served as home to beer distributor Ajax Turner, The Tennessean reports.

The 190,000-square-foot facility is located on Visco Drive about a mile east of downtown Nashville’s Rolling Mill Hill and along the Cumberland River.

Ajax Turner moved its operations to La Vergne following the May 2010 flood that brutalized the streets that surround Visco.

The vacant building sits across Visco from Mid-South Wire’s headquarters.
